We believe hands-on experiences outside the classroom give you the chance to apply what you’ll learn inside the classroom. The Multimedia Photography & Design faculty actively pursues and creates unique and valuable experiences so you can realize your potential as storytellers — photographers, designers, filmmakers, editors and producers.
We push you out of your comfort zone. You get to test your mettle.
Imagine the possibilities.
for the rest of our lives.

The Fall Workshop
Each Fall more than 50 graduate and undergraduate students from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University gather in upstate New York to record, film, photograph and tell stories. Photography students are paired with coaches to receive intimate one-on-one feedback to develop and hone their storytelling chops. Designers work with photographers, copywriters and coaches to craft dynamic presentations of the stories produced over the weekend. The Fall Workshop is intense, exciting and loads of fun.
